Can I dive with you if I am staying somewhere else?
Yes. Scuba School Bonaire is open to guests staying anywhere on Bonaire. You can book diving separately from a stay at Oasis Guesthouse.
Are PADI-certified divers welcome?
Yes. You are welcome to join our guided dives and discuss SSI specialty training with Kim. Bring your certification and diving experience; the entry requirements depend on the programme you choose.
Will I be grouped with people I do not know?
Kim focuses on one-on-one diving and groups of people who know each other, such as family and friends. You discuss your own group and planning directly with her.
What is the difference between Try Scuba and a refresher?
Try Scuba is an introduction for someone who has not dived before, in pool or confined water. A refresher is for reviewing existing diving skills. The price is the same in the current list, but Kim plans the session around your experience.
Are equipment and tanks included?
They are included in Try Scuba, the refresher, the Open Water course, the referral package, additional Open Water training dives and the Open Water + Nitrox combination. Guided dives, Nitrox options, the Nitrox + Deep Diving combination and the other specialties exclude equipment and tanks.
How long does a course take?
The hours shown are SSI training guidelines. Your actual schedule depends on the programme, preparation, experience and progress. Kim confirms your planning before you book; she can also help you choose a suitable course.
